One of the things I like best about today’s world of design is that there are no hard-and-fast rules. It’s far more important to follow the lead of your own personal style–and the architectural perameters you’re given. Case in point is the how-to-handle-the-bed-wall dilemma. Why settle for simply placing the bed against a solid wall when you can position it beneath a decorative window? Or put it between a pair of tall windows to frame your sleeping spot? And this example, the creation of designer Shon Parker is one of my all-time favorites; it incorporates an arched window, creating the grandest of headboards.
