We’re excited about entertaining friends and family this weekend for my son’s 4th fireman-themed birthday party at our neighborhood clubhouse.

The guest list keeps growing – at 70 people right now – and oh, if we only had this $5.499 million home at 3360 Northside Drive N.W. in Buckhead, which appears to have plenty of space for a fun party like the one we’re throwing.

Architect Boye Akinola designed the European-style home, which has eight bedrooms, seven full and three half baths. One of its unique features that you’ll see right away is an arched stone entryway leading to a marble foyer.

The home also has all the required features of a $5 million-and-up property like the home theater, wine cellar and four-car garage, and fireplaces in spots including the library, master bathroom and great room.

And agent Barbara Carrio with Prudential Georgia Realty says a portion of proceeds from the sale will go toward the company’s charity for children with cancer, The Sunshine Kids.

Lucky me to have dined with my fave girlfriends last week at Fish Out of Water at WaterColor in Seaside, Florida. Getting to meet Chef de Cuisine Philip Krajeck (who was just nominated for a James Beard Award) was an unexpected highlight. We were impressed to find cheeses from hometown Sweet Grass Dairy, a phenomenal wine list, and the simplest of simple small starter dishes: a plate of Roasted Beets with Greek Yogurt, Tupelo Honey and Pistachios, and my ultimate favorite of all, Shaved Brussels Sprouts lightly tossed with fresh lemon juice, EVOO and shaved Parmesan. A craving the next night brought us back for more off the Brussels Sprouts which we agreed paired perfectly with Martinis.
