I’m thrilled that our city showcases a variety of housing styles, but when I see like this two-story red brick Georgian Revival house in Peachtree Heights Park, it just brings me a sense of Southern comfort.
Listed for $3.5 million by Greg Lyles, president and broker of Conrad Lyles Realtors, the Cecil F. Johnson House on 2598 Habersham Road has been gorgeously updated by Margaret Whitaker.
Lyles tells us that every effort was made to retain the authentic period details throughout the four-bedroom, four-bath home, which dates back to 1936 and has the master suite on the main level. The kitchen, looking fresh and crisp with its white walls and cabinets, has been brought into modern times with high-end stainless steel appliances and a fireside keeping room. The restoration continued with the carriage house, dating to 1918.
It’s a historic home primed for homeowners to create a new history.
